As easy as it may seem, shopping for hair products can be very difficult.  Many people just pick something.  That can be very harmful!! There are many factors out there that could jeopardize your overall health and look.
Expired Products
Lots of people don't realize that all products can go bad before you really realize it!  And its a definite big no-no to use expired products, they can grow harmful bacteria and won't work half as well.  Things to toss out often(or use up quickly) are things like mascara, eyeliner, lip glosses and other face related items.  Your face has a very delicate system of germs on it and when you have your product grows its own germs it can really contaminate your beautiful face. Another product to be thrown out often is nail polish(according to totalbeauty.com). Nail polish will really only last about a year and that's if its kept in a cool place, after that is when it become dried out and won't dry nor un-chipped.
Harsh Ingredients
You would never add something too your food that you know can cause your body a lot of harm, so why would you buy products that could do the same?  Ingredients often found in beauty products like sodium lauryl sulphate, formaldehyde, sodium laureth sulphate,  parabens and fragrance( the list really goes on) are harmful!  Look at the ingredients before just buying something.  Sodium lauryl/laureth sulphates are one of the most common found ingredients in cheap shampoo and conditioners but they are known carcinogens.
Where and What You Buy
Have you ever seen a product in you salon and later found it at a store for half price?  Sounds like salons are ripping you off, right? Wrong! When you see stores like Sears, WalMart or KMart carrying brands like Joico,  Kenra or Framesi its for on or both reasons: A Packaging change or that two year shelf life is at three months.  A packaging change won't harm you but the almost bad products are trapping you for damage.  Beauty Products aren't required the use by or sell by dates so you really can't trust getting them from just anywhere.  Even though the products may look identical the performance from one bought in a salon will probably be better because its fresher.
Where You Store
Warm and damp areas cause bacteria to grow quicker. That's a fact that we cannot change.   Keeping your beauty products in the bathroom that you fill with warm, damp steam everyday isn't the best idea. Also many products like anti-aging things are affected by light.  Beauty Products should be kept in a cool dark area for extended life and performance.

Interview Readiness

  Our company is growing. So naturally, we've been going through lots of interviews to enlarge our staff to get your orders to you quickly and efficiently. After seeing so many so many possible employees I thought I do an interview look how to, after all first-impressions are everything!

  We'll start with dress. Even if the work place is casual(ours is) your interview is not!  I'm basically done with the interview the second a person walks in if they are in plain old jeans and a tee-shirt.  Show some respect. Dressing up doesn't mean I expect a full on gown or tux.  Khakis and a button down shirt with a simple tie is perfect guys.  Girls, a pencil skirt or even slacks at least show you care about working with us.  Also, be modest, maybe even conservative with you clothing.  We know your a woman we don't need your chest falling out showing us, and you don't really care for your underwear hanging ten feet out your pants.  Clothing can say a lot about your personality.  We, as well as all other employers, don't want people who are lazy, and disrespectful, so don't dress that way.
  Next your hair. One big thing with you hair is you want it to be clean and polished.  If every ten seconds you have to fidget with your hair we have a problem. Bobby pins can be your best friend. Pull back your bangs, style them somewhere we can see your eyes light up! Plus, you may not be the kind of person to use hair spray but a light hair spray like AG Aerodynamics can really clean up any style and hide the fly-aways. If you decide to leave your hair down pay attention to how much control you have on it. If your hair is bigger than you are that is what we call a distraction. After every question we will be waiting to hear what your hair has to say, not you. Fixing, playing or flipping your hair constantly is a sign of insecurity, so make sure to look confidant and have your hair stay in its place.
  Moving on to make up.  Your make up should be done in a way that says, "I want to be the face of this company!" Not I'm a part time clown at city hall.  Before leaving the house make sure that your foundation is soft and your color. We don't want to see a face that doesn't look like its part of you, and most definatly double check that its rubbed in evenly through the neck. It makes me wanna walk over and fix your make up when there is a strong line telling us where you begin and your foundation ends.  A smokey eye is fabulous for a night on the town with the girls but for an interview not so much.  Its best to simply define your eyes, show us their natural beauty. tans and browns with thin eye liner and good mascara give a much better impression of professionalism.  A big recommendation I have is to keep a product like Jane Iredale's Makeup Facial Blotting Papers in your purse or car so clean up and be perfect for when you walk in.
  Last but certainly not least you nails.  They may seem insignificant but trust me, interviewers are picking a part every last bit of you so they matter.  The best way to go is with a nude neutral color like OPI At First Sight. It make the nails look clean and well kept without being to party girl or crazy.  If you already have your nails done try to match the colors with what you wear for a organized pulled together look.

The Why:Alterna has many magnificent qualities. It also has some not terrific. The product does do what it says it will do but the price is kind of steep for the level of quality. The Alterna Bamboo line is all natural and in environmentally safe packaging but users are torn on whether they love or hate it. Many people did say that the effects in Alterna's shine serums didn't last all day which is definitly disappointing.  Alterna is a very hit and miss hair care line.  Even I have found as much variance as having a shampoo be wonderful but its twin conditioner being terrible. If you are llergic to most perfumes this may not be the product you want to try as it does have a pretty strong scent. The packaging is wonderful. Its sleek and stylish and very nice. The cost range is $19.49-$97.99.

The Why: Aloxxi was made by color professionals for color professionals. It provides outstanding hydration, volume, and health that may have been damaged by color. This product could definitely be called addicting because it is that good. If you don't have color treated hair this product will be to heavy for you and the results won't truely be there. The smell is faint and not over powering and the silky smoothness is overwhelming! The packaging is kinda bland and the bottle have a weird shape but the product works so well it doesn't matter any ways. The price ranges from $9.99 to $59.99 but your essentials(shampoo, conditioner, leave in) are all very reasonable.

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS month!!!  Its that time again to pull out your pink ribbon and show your support to all of those girls who live with and have to fight cancer daily.
